Hope John likes it ;-)

My dear laad friend will be going to UK for onsiteWork.A noble thought germinated in the compost. The idea was to gift his Ko-league 😉 who was a JOHN .Would that reciprocate in a Client appreciation mail?Well as i said , the thought was noble , so just stop such vile beliefs grow in ya mind 👿 .
But the choice was difficult. There was no clue about his habits , hobby and taste. The two were like configured machines who seldom veered to topics other than Deployment related issues,PDF generation and greece language support. We planned to pick the gift from MG road pune.It has 2 Jaipuri shops with some traditional stuffs.

Now the search for the right gift started…lets wind it up fast.
(pointing to a flower vase)
Me :Yeh wala Sahi hain.
She : “Utna nahi”… uska color utna kuch nahi hain.

Me :He will like this ASH Tray ,Suttebaaj hoga.
She :I don’t know if he smokes.
Me :What the hell.??.Being a John and that too in software..am sure he smokes. 8) (No changes)

.
.
.
.(lots of Deep Thinking from both side)
.

Alladin ka chirag?

Me :Now this is something pretty cool.Wat ya say?
Shopkeeper :Sir , its the best we have.
She :Ismain ek size bade hain?No-No a bit smaller than that…. Something in betwn these two.?
Shopkeeper :Madam, iske beech wala to nahi hain.
She : They don’t have proper sizes.
Me: Kya yaar 😦 … aap ke paas correct sizes nahi hain, nahi to yeh wala uthane wale the..

We moved to next shop which is in the same lane and owned by the same owner(which was realised later). The Sales man was a hyper active middle aged man , I loved his service.
We saw a couple of John’s wandering for some antique in the same shop.An 💡 popped in my mind (why not catch these whites..they may help in selecting the best choice).

Me :Hello sir…..(and our story .blah blah…..)
John :” Am not English..”(So wat? you are white) ..”Germans have a different taste. Is he he/she?”(he).

After a long thought and explanation…He suggested that anything which has good handwork and sophisticated design and carvings will amaze any John.
Again the search started with new Keywords. This time it was rigorous with more details to be noted resulting in easy rejection and filterations. My choice didn’t materialise as we were from 2 different planets.(Mars &Venus). The hyperactive salesman who was earlier busy wid other customers saw us confused and rushed for our help.

He started bragging about his experience in this business,Wat John likes, picks etc…pointing to every object on display and making amazing facial experiences to show the intricate details of the work.We thought he would solve our problem but finally it ended up in more confusion.20 + items where spread before us like a buffet dinner but each item was only 80% appealling.I was wondering where to bring that 20% from or rather 30% for her?
With lots of Dhaachegiri ..the plan was to see some other shop .But it was too late and this task was supposed to be finished before EOD.Plan changed. We moved back to the earlier shop. This is called how you retain a customer.

At the sight of we entering the shop again, the sales man with more energy than before showed us what he was hiding from us earlier. He opened the fresh stocks.Yeah.And there we found something, something she was looking for.

We settled for this Elephant carved from a single piece of wood with her/his siblings. The attraction was the perfect shape and balance of the Piece. It was big enough and not tiny either and not much bulky .I instantly realized from her expression that She found her missing 30% 🙂 in this one.Celebrations, joys and excitement ruled my mind.(earlier i was pissed off, tired and after looking at so many items I felt like anything is good option. 😡 ).

Indian Elephant

But dear readers..if you still reading this shit..then hold on.The one thing we indians never forget is bargaining.Other’s were trying it too.
So with all my strength I started the bargaining show.

Shopkeeper: Sir 20% is off.

Me:Common yaar.. I am always ready to pay reasonable amount. Please make it 25%.
She:But we are taking 2 pieces…(Murmuring to me and kicking my leg to settle for much more discount.)
Shopkeeper :Sir..its all i can offer..you go to any shop and ask.
Me :I know you own all shops here..so prices will be same (  😆 )
Shopkeeper : smiling.. “Sir , aap bhi kya mazak karte hain..”

Ok ok…ha ha thik hain thik hain..yes yes…bas kya …No Noo..chalna.. chod yaar..lelo yaar ..smiles..

Finally HandShake.. 😀

The deal was over.
Rs 2700 for 2 pieces of our Elephant.Everyone was contended and happy about the deal.I hope John likes the stuff too.He will surely, because if you give any gift with all the right feelings , it will be acceptable to every wise human being. So why you think am telling you this experience..??
Need to say more 😛 ?

How to use torrents to Download movies ,mp3 and other files

What is BitTorrent?
BitTorrent (often abbreviated to ‘BT’) is a protocol (a set of rules and description of how to do things) allowing you to download files quickly by allowing people downloading the file to upload (distribute) parts of it at the same time. BitTorrent is often used for distribution of very large files, very popular files and files available for free, as it is a lot cheaper, faster and more efficient to distribute files using BitTorrent than a regular download.

µTorrent is a BitTorrent client. A ‘client’ in this case is a computer program that follows the rules of a protocol. For example, HTTP (HyperText Transfer Protocol) is the protocol used to download web pages and other content – like this page – and your HTTP client (or browser) is the program you use to get those web pages. Some popular browsers include Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and Opera. To an extent, they all work the same way because they follow the same set of rules.

Just as there are multiple HTTP clients, there are multiple BitTorrent clients, and µTorrent is one such BT client.

I have made this video..just for those people who doesnt know the power of torrents and are always in need of finding ways for downloading latest movies ,songs, ebooks and stuffs..check it out..
you need a ‘torrent file’ (often abbreviated as ‘.torrent’ or just ‘torrent’) to download content available using BitTorrent

In this example..The site used for downloading torrent is

http://www.torrentportal.com

BitTorrent client used is Utorrent 1.6 you can download it from here.
Just click the green DOWNLOAD Button..

  • Now you just need to add torrent file to your TorrentClient..
  • Follow the video for detail steps..its really very very simple

Top 5 Torrent’s downloading  site..

1. Torrentz

2. Mininova

3. ThePirateBay

4. Torrentspy

5. Isohunt

I am handicapped

Yes..correct

2day morning when i was coming to officie on my bike …. no no.. Dont think that much wild. The matter is related to my previous post.

I CANT COMMENT ON  WORDPRESS BLOGS!!! (pls note … am screaming)

The rule of the Block engine is such that if its finds “comments” word in the url of the browser..then that page is a hot property to be blocked. So slowly and steadily wordpress is also on the verge of getting blocked.

Is their a better word than handicapped? I can view my blog and read comments but I can’t comment on it.
So frnds.. Henceforth .I will not be as active on wordpress as I used to be. . I will try to read your blogs by GOOGLE READER.

but that too …not the full story…

This is a perfect example where i can file a PIL for “Freedom of speech” 🙂

Blogs are getting blocked

Friends..

This is a terrible news for me and for all those people who’s company’s internet usage policy is so damn strict that even blogs are Blocked from intranet access.

Currently Blogspot is blocked; Wordpress Blogs are working fine thou.

Anoop, its good that you sitched to wordpress..now i can check your blog.Tell srini to move too.

The earlier restriction to Public-emailing sites, chatting domains, Online-gaming and Social Networking and Personal sites was considered acceptable, but bringing blogs under the scanner is really bit harsh.
No one can waste so much time in blogging or surfing if they are kept busy during officie hrs.Its only those benchers or lucky souls who inspite of being assigned to project ; those who are free can find time to browse through blogs and spread their word and why not?.

Well as of now, WordPress isn’t blocked; but soon it will also come under the microscope of the IT Security Guys here , then how will i maintain / update my blog? I dont have a connection at my room. The bandwidth available in the company is lightening fast and surely the best use of the resource allowing quick browsing thru comments and updating ourselves about the latest post from fellow bloggers/friends.

My question is why not Ban all Trading Sites too.Well its just out of frustation (even i dont want them banned)..Infact, I wud love to have access to everything..but yeah..i agree its not possible and feasible. My colleagues are heavily using the Trading sites to make profits and to keep their money growing. If spending time to manage your portfolio is OK ,then why not blogs?Bcos even PM’s(project Managers) and SPM’s(Senior Project Manager) do the same dabbling in the Market all day.
Myself, having a small blog is denied access; forget that i even make any profit out of it.Not fair huh?

Lets hope that the day is too far when eventually wordpress will get blocked.

Fellas….am posting this well known information just for those who may not be aware of this features from wordpress and therefore not using it for their advantage.

Actually I have noticed many of my post are discussed incompletely or many comments are unanswered.Isn’t it tedious to just look at your latest comments section for following up..i fear it can’t work for longer threads…

All comments made by you in wordpress and the responses to your comments can be traced with just one click. No need to hop around Indiviuals blogs of wordpress to check out the responses to your comments.

One just need to login to your acount and then click the “My Dashboard” for “My Comments ” section. I presume ,no one can miss this super cool feature..but then , ppl are missing to follow up their comments. I  like commenting a lot and my main problem was to track my comments; which was solved by this feature provided by wordpress.

So those guys ,who are fully aware can ignore this information. But plzzzzzzz ..you need to respond to comments made on your comments/posts  😉

Our Health conscious India (Beer Vs Country/IMFL liquor)

Filed under: India, IT Professionals, jokes, my views — Tags: , , — nitin @ 5:13 pm

 One joke…to start with..

Some usual phrases/dialogues which people mutter after they get drunk..

Are tuje to chad gayi..(you got high 2day)
“agar chadani nahi hoti to peeta he kyo?”

Aaj gaddi/bike main chalaunga..(2day i will ride the car/bike)
“tremendous confidence”

Tu mera sabse accha dost hain…(you are my best friend)
“Right time to show friendship”

Main kisi se nahi darta..(i dont fear anyone)
“Bold and Beautiful”

Aaj tuje meri baat sunni he padegi..(I will have the final word)
“Autocracy starts…”

coming back..i wanna share my thinking of how people, youngsters switch from Beers to Hard liquor.
An excise department circular of April 13 says that “the duty on mild beer has been increased to Rs 15 per bulk litre or 100 per cent of the manufacturing cost, whichever is higher. Previously, it was Rs 12 per bulk litre or 75 per cent of the manufacturing cost.

The Beer consumption in Maharashtra is about 160 lakh (12-bottle) cases with Mumbai accounting for 40 per cent of beer sales in the State.

As you may be knowing ,people drink to get High..It usually starts with a beer for a college going youth/Men. Initially 1 Bottle/Glass is enough to get him High..slowly his capacity increases. Now he needs 2 bottles and then finally he won’t budge even after having 2 bottles of beer.

Then his clever mind thinks, why am i wasting 300 rupees on 2 beer bottles which don’t give me the kick.Instead i will go for a hard liquor which can easily charge me up in just 2 pegs.Well a very practical solution for keeping the expenses short..considering Hard liquor is cheaply priced  than a Beer.So such tendency starts the journey of switching from  Beer to Country/IMFL liquor(Indian Manufactured Foreign Liquor).

Wat’s the government role in this whole transition of a Beer drinker to a Hard Drinker?

You may think, its a personal decision of the subject, but bro…all decisions are based on some enivironment/ surroundings..and government has the charge of this decision making factors and surroundings.

As per the  statistics ,Govn thinks beer is still the choice of the riches and the affluents..and therefore they are exhorbitantly charged.Youths,IT public, knowing the ill effects of hard drinks still prefer Beers ..by paying heavily.

Why are they pricing Beer so heavily even if their alcohol contents are marginal ? A hard drink instead has 80 % more alcohol. So health wise drinking beer is less harmful compared to Hard Drinks.

In western nations people prefer mild and soft beers,Lagers and therefore its cheap out there.Suppose the govn makes Liquor highly priced and beer cheap..then ppl will find beer more viable as a drinking option concerning health hazards of hard drinks.

Interestingly, Indian’s preferred strong beer, unlike their counterparts elsewhere, and it accounted for more than 70 per cent of the total volume in the country.Which means this 70 percent ppl will soon opt for hard drinks in the near future,as they are cheap and effective. So clearly ..its the government policy which is driving this stream by pricing such products just to make profits and keeping the health concerns of the state at stake.

I may not be updated but some states have taken this problem in to consideration and wine rates has been slashed.

So why not price Hard Liquor heavily and subsidise Beers.?
